Copy of Cheryl Porter "High Notes" certificate!


Just completed the "High Notes" Cheryl Porter training. It is similar to how I teach with emphasis on the "falsetto to mix to chest" for belting without strain. The cup is as Cheryl Porter states a "semi-occluded phonation" exercise meant to relieve stress on the vocal folds. The weights (gloves) contribute greatly to coordinate the support muscles with the vocal folds for efficient singing. The students produce beautiful sounds that they've never produced before! The only drawback (that I haven't quite figured out YET) is how to get the students to sing just as well without the weights. :(
